2011 Wedding Trends – Top Trends for your 2011 Wedding: Part 1
As 2011 approaches I will be taking a look at the top trends set to under pin weddings in the next twelve months. 2011 wedding trends may well include many from this year, as well as a few that could surprise you!
• Have a Bridal MOT: If your wedding planning is beginning to take control of your life and you are floundering in guest lists and vendor quotes, then look out for wedding professionals offering wedding MOT’s to help you get organizes. This is a good alternative to hiring a professional wedding planner, especially if you cannot afford one and they can help you get things running smoothly again.
• Get a Soundtrack: Music has always played an integral part in weddings but one of the top 2011 wedding trends is set to be wedding soundtracks compiled to match your theme and style perfectly. If your wedding is set to a historical theme then a perfectly tailored soundtrack can add that all important sense of nostalgia and evoke the perfect atmosphere.
• Spring a Surprise: Surprise your guests with an exciting element to your day such as a hidden element to your wedding marquee or exciting entertainment. Imagine pulling back a curtain in your wedding venue to reveal a hidden dance floor or live band!
• Marquee Magic: One of the top trends is likely to be marquee weddings which make a big style statement. Forget bland boring tents with fussy linings and tired furnishings. • Have a Non-Wedding Wedding: Traditionally weddings have been big celebrations with all the trimmings and of course with big budgets. But couples in 2011 are requesting wedding days which are less ‘wedding’ and more party. Fewer flowers and no wedding favors make for a wedding more about celebrating than budgeting!
• Gadget Grooms: One for the boys! Gift registries for 2011 are set to be all about gadgets and gizmos. With the number of gadgets and electrical items available these days expect gift lists to be full of things like blu-ray players, iPads and camcorders!
